Experience an unforgettable half day wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park or Kaudulla National Park, two of Sri Lanka’s most famous elephant habitats located in the North Central Province. These parks offer a rare opportunity to witness large herds of wild Asian elephants, along with a rich variety of birds and other wildlife in their natural environment.
Minneriya National Park is world-famous for “The Gathering”—one of the largest seasonal concentrations of wild elephants in Asia. During the dry season, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya reservoir, creating a spectacular wildlife scene. In contrast, Kaudulla National Park offers lush green landscapes and equally impressive wildlife sightings, including elephants, deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and diverse bird species.
With CCT Sri Lanka, your safari experience is carefully organized to ensure maximum wildlife viewing opportunities. Depending on animal movement and seasonal conditions, we will choose the best park for your visit—either Minneriya or Kaudulla—so you get the most rewarding experience possible.
This 3–4 hour half day safari is ideal for travelers who want a quick but powerful wildlife encounter while exploring Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle region.
