Muthurajawela sanctuary is located to south of Negombo Lagoon. It is the same water mass Muthurajawela and Negombo lagoon shares. However, unlike urbanised Negombo lagoon area Muthurajawela sanctuary is remote and adventurous. There are fairly large Ja-ella and Attanagalla rivers make Muthurajawela sanctuary rich. Even Barramundis are found in right spots.
