Lessons – Laser Training – Mirissa

Originally set up as a free sailing school for fishermens’ sons and daughters in Mirissa, the Ruhunu Sailing Association has partnered with the Mirissa Sailing Club and provides rentals and training on small sailing boats for boys and girls above 6 years of age. Lessons begin in the protected fishery harbour and as kids progress they venture out into the bay followed by a rigid inflatable boat for safety. At 10 years of age, kids move to a Laser and at 14 they are invited to sail on a Minibee.

Per hour vehicle detention fee : 3 USD - Tuk Tuk / 5 USD Standard car & van
Weather : If weather conditions are unfavourable activities will be adjusted accordingly.

Restrictions : Do not touch corals please. Be a responsible and ethical snorkeler and diver. No flash photography of ancient paintings. Cover your knees and shoulders before enter any temple. Do not leave plastics behind / Please do not feed wild animals.
