Delft Island Sri Lanka

Embark on a scenic private boat journey from Kurikadduwan (KKD) Jetty to two of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating northern islands — Nagadeepa and Delft. This exclusive sailing experience offers a unique blend of spiritual heritage, colonial history, and untouched island landscapes.

Nagadeepa Island is one of Sri Lanka’s most important pilgrimage sites, home to the sacred Nagadeepa Purana Viharaya and the Nagapooshani Amman Kovil, representing a rare harmony between Buddhist and Hindu traditions. According to legend, Lord Buddha visited this island during his second journey to Sri Lanka to bring peace between warring kings.

Delft Island, on the other hand, is a remote coral-based island known for its wild horses, ancient Baobab trees, colonial ruins, and unique coral landscapes. Its quiet, untouched environment makes it one of the most extraordinary island experiences in Sri Lanka.

This journey is ideal for travelers seeking a private, flexible, and culturally rich island-hopping experience in the Jaffna region.
