Its white sandy beaches are sanctuary for holidaymakers away from those busy beach destinations. Once, one of its beach stretches, Nilavei, was named the best beach destination in entire south Asia. Some inland tours, sailing, diving, snorkeling and lagoon trips are only few of activities we promote in Trinco. Trincomalee city is built on a peninsula. Its naturally deep harbour has been attracting seafarers, traders and pilgrims from Europe, Middle East, Africa, China, East Asia and Australasia since ancient times. Trincomale has a grand redevelopment project waiting to be built after Colombo.
